South Carolina trained horse wins Philadelphia Park Horse of the year

SPEECHIFYING was named Philadelphia Park's Horse of the Year recently. The bay five-year-old by Activist earned a nose score in the September 29 My Juliet S. at Philadelphia Park.  In the My Juliet S., Speechifying held off multiple Grade 2 heroine Miraculous Miss, who would go on to run second in the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint.  Speechifying has connections to two South Carolina training centers since he trained at both the Franklin Smith’s Elloree Training Center and Doris Rabon’s Glenview Farm.
