Sissy Woolums August 3rd

The fourth Sissy Woolums Stake will run Friday August 3rd at Colonial Downs.  The SCTOBA owes a thanks to Virginia Thoroughbred Association Executive Director Glenn Petty and Colonial Downs Racing Secretary Randy Wehrman for working hard to make this a part of the Colonial Downs meet.

The race will again be open to fillies and mares three years old and up that are South Carolina bred, North Carolina bred, Virginia bred or offspring of the stallions donated to the Stallion Season Auction of 2007.  The race will run at 5 ½ furlongs on the turf. Nominations for the race are due in the Colonial Downs office by Tuesday July 24th .

Virginia has won this race three years in a row.  Let us get a SC bred or SC owned filly to win the 2007 Sissy Woolums.
