Directors Elected for 2006
Agenda Set
The winter meeting of the South Carolina TOBA was held on
December 10th, 2005 at the Elloree Training Center. Good food
and fellowship were the order of the day. The members voted to
make minor adjustments in the by laws to reflect the various
changes that have been voted in over the past few years. The
following slate of officers and directors were elected:

President Lee Christian told the group that the important
issues for the Association in 2006 were:
- The second Residency Races at Philadelphia Park in the
fall
- Continuing to pursue legislative help for workers
compensation relief
- Breeding program
- The possibility of an exemption on pari-mutuel
- Continue to foster the SCTOBA’s relationship with other
organizations, such as South Carolina Thoroughbred
Retirement Foundation, Virginia Thoroughbred Association,
NCTOBA as well as other Thoroughbred Associations in the
Region.
