Cookout a Success

The SCTOBA combined the election of officers for 2005 with a cookout at the Elloree Training Center on February 12th.  The featured speaker was Jack DuArte from Winstar Farm.  DuArte informed and entertained the attendees as he analyzed what to look for in mare and stallion candidates.  DuArte mentioned that this was his first trip to South Carolina, and we hope it’s not his last!

The group was treated to Frogmore stew by chef Bailey Bolen and cake and cookies from pastry chef Debbie Jobe.  An added treat for the meeting was getting to visit with legendary Hall of Fame trainer Frank Whiteley who attended from Camden.
